I've searched the internet high and low for large (12-19") round green

who sells them?
germination and seedlings18 Jun 2008 03:45 GMT5
I was wondering if anyone else had the same observation as I have.
I use a soil that is specifically for germination (high sphagnum
moss content I think) and it seems to do a good job of germination
but then the seedlings seem to lack vigor. When I transplant the

Peat18 Jun 2008 00:33 GMT2
Is top soil plus some peat the same as peat-based compost?
Its just that I'm building a terrarium and they say peat-based
compost, but all the stuff they sell has added bits of vermiculite or
other white stuff in it which doesn't look so nice. I bought a big bag
Pesto Perpetuo17 Jun 2008 22:49 GMT3
Is the form of Basil -'Pesot Perpetuo' - a perrennial as the nam

If so, would it need frost protection ~ ie: in a sheltered, frost fre
place,or maybe protected by fleece or would it need overwintering unde
Tomato Rot?17 Jun 2008 20:30 GMT3
I have notice that one of my tomatoes has developed rot at the bottom of
this tomato.
The tomato plant is a Aunt Ruby's German Green. The outdoor temperature has
been in the high 90's. No others are showing this problem.

But I have not been able to find a place where I can buy a small

Stella cherry problem17 Jun 2008 10:40 GMT3
I have a fan trained Stella cherry on a South facing wall. It is about 6
years old, very healthy apart from blackfly which attacks the new growth
every year, which this year I have treated, thus reducing the blackfly
considerably.  This year, for the first time, I have a a large ...

Would anyone happen to know which rose this is?  The colour in the photo is
hopeless because the rose is a really deep crimson.  It's a climber and is
scented and it's a truly gorgeous sight.
