I just planted some 1.5 quart Indian Hawthorn plants. I'm in Florida - very sandy soil. At the suggestion of the guy in the F&G dept at Home Depot I put some topsoil in the holes for them. I see some new growth but wondering what if anything I can do to maximize/accelerate their

I cleared out one of the terraces infested with weed this weekend http://share.ovi.com/media/Muddymike.Garden/Muddymike.10516?sort=5 and dug out a bucketful of Daffodil and Tulip bulbs in order to cover the whole area with weed preventing fabric and stone.

| Peach tree | 30 Jun 2008 06:25 GMT | 54 |
Our peach tree, suited for our area, has not produced healthy fruit in three years. This year I gave it one more chance. I thinned the fruits early, pruned properly, cleaned up the area beneath the tree, fertilized it at the proper time and the fruit has the clear gunk on
