I recently planted two pomegranate shrubs in my yard.  They were about
a foot high each...in a pot... I bought them from some people..
ANyway, I bought some compost/plant mix.  This is what I bought:

Bees have just taken up residence under my floorboards, near to an air
brick in my house.
I've blocked up the holes for tonight to stop (or maybe just limit
slightly) them continuing to grow their hive.

Your "20 gal. rope handle tubs" in current circular.  The circular lists
them as 20 gallons - on the tubs it says 19 gallons - my receipt shows 18
gals - and I measured it as 16 gallons.  What say you ?

How much HLA to activate a compost heap?
I suppose a family might produce half a gallon of HLA a day.
Is that too much for a one metre cube compost heap?
HLA is often recommended, but I've never seen advice about quantity.

We've tried several commercial products, and nothing
(thus far) has been successful.

I have several Catalpa tree babies that are healthy and thriving.  Not my
favorite tree, wouldn't you know.  I plan to put them in gallon size
planting cans (gardening cans) when they are a bit taller.
The Willows are doing very well too, each is about 2 feet tall now.  I have
