Hi all, our house is right on the edge of a forest we have lots o lovely green trees but we'd like to add some trees of differen colours, about 8 medium sized trees in total, any recommendations --

I appreciate your comments regarding my post. I have no fax availability here. We are no doubt going to be buying large trees for the back, and if the Catalpas and Willows grow big enough to plant they will be welcomed. Jackie

Finally got around to putting them out a couple of days ago. I've been trying to train them to climb up canes, ie., winding first couple of turns for them. Do they prefer anti or clockwise or don't they mind?

Here are the results of today's harvest from my garden. That is 1/2 of the chard in a 21 quart canner and the collards are in a 16" colander. Now I have to get busy and start getting the stuff ready to freeze or pickle (beets.)

I laid meadow grass as a quick and dirty solution last year but now wan to replace the area (36sqm) with good quality turf and also build up th area by around 2". I ideally want to lay straight on top of the ol turf to avoid having to build up too much.

We noticed some really dense shrubs forming a hedge about 8 feet tall at Carolina Beach. I believe I have seen them around the triangle. Very curious what they might be. I am sure some of the plant experts on here will know.
