Just curious. As I understand it the evaporation of moisture is what draws the sap from the toots up the tree. Does this mean that the sap does not rise until the leaves unfurl? If so where do the leaves obtain the energy to be "kick started"?

I am sowing seeds in 3.5 inch square plastic flower pots using Greenall Organic Potting Soil. I place the pots in 1020 treys with clear plastic domes and keep them near a window at a constant seventy degree temperature.

Living in Austin Tx and the stickers will be here soon. Question: Is there anything I can apply to my lawn to rid it of these nasty sandburs ? Half of my yard is burrs, and the other is St. Augustine. Thanks for any replies.
