| More info on moss killing please. | 28 Feb 2007 22:53 GMT | 14 |
All the talk of moss in lawns prompts me to ask if anyone can tell me of a product that will kill moss on hard surfaces as we have it growing on walls, paths and the house roof. Something which can be sprayed on that really does kill it would be good as I have tried some ...

| turfallo | 28 Feb 2007 21:03 GMT | 10 |
I am moving to Georgetown Texas. I am not sure I want to maintain St. Augustine grass again. I heard about turfallo (tech turf?). It can be planted as plugs and spreads in just 4 months. It requires minimal water. Has anyone see this or is it any good?

| How much water do rhododendrons need? | 28 Feb 2007 18:44 GMT | 9 |
We have a site where we have cleared a number of large (i.e 50ft high) Leylandii and we're thinking of planting some rhododendrons there. From what I have read etc. it would seem that they will like the acidity etc. but I'm not quite sure if the ground will be damp enough

| More rosemary | 28 Feb 2007 15:15 GMT | 75 |
Well, we'll get the confusion out of the way first - Ray and I were thinking of two different rosemaries in two different gardens, as things turn out! I was convinced both were in one garden but clearly I'm wrong as we found today. And the owners of both houses are abroad so the ...

| overall garden design | 28 Feb 2007 11:10 GMT | 8 |
it occurred to me the other day that i have no "grand plan" for my garden, and i should perhaps therefore stop doing new things until i've thought of one. but having said that, i'm not good at thinking of things which don't exist yet, so i'm not quite sure what to do!! i don't ...

| What's happening to my lawn? | 28 Feb 2007 09:30 GMT | 6 |
Over the last 4-5 weeks my rectangular, suburbian, lawn has been badly deteriorating in the four corners. It'd been in place on a new estate since May 2005 when we moved in; didn't have the same problems last winter, and has been looked after by me.

| Overpotting ? | 28 Feb 2007 09:00 GMT | 4 |
A nice parcel of 'common' and 'exotic' tubers arrive in the post today (common = fresias & achimenes, exotic <to me, at least> being Gloriosa and Sandersonia). The last two warned against 'overpotting'.
