speaking of phals, i have a golden peoker daughter which has a couple flowers that have a spot of brown goopy stuff on a couple petals. there is a lesion that goes from the front to the back of the petal, and this gloppy stuff, which washes off easily with plain water. doesn't ...

Does anyone have an effective method of preventing mice from ring-barking saplings? I have just lost several dozen potted Acers, Willows and fruit trees (and last winter and the winter before!). Any ideas gratefully received.

Does anyone know of this type of small (Korean origin) tree flowering out-of-doors in England ? If so, at what age does it start to show flowers in our summertime ? It seems to be quite tricky to get success with.

I'm in the southern hemisphere, so we are one month into summer now. But there has been a lot of wind here over the past few months, seriously thrashing the garden. Anyway, one tomato plant had a section broken off of the top.

We bought a small olive plant quite early in the new year. Kept it indoors. (can get to -5C or even -10C here) Then shoved it outside for the summer in between slightly larger plants. Then brought it back in a few weeks ago.

I see T & M are offering for sale "the worlds first climbing fuchsia" which is also extra hardy. Anyone tried it or even seen it? We need something (unusual) like that to climb a fence.
