ANTS!28 Mar 2006 18:46 GMT4
This is a little off-topic, but I thought you gardening experts might
be able to help me. I have an ant invasion in my home - in the kitchen
and bathroom.
I've tried everything to get rid of them including a boric acid
Looking for parts for Troy-bilt Tomahawk Pro chipper28 Mar 2006 18:35 GMT2
This is the old 12HP chipper (not the chipper shredder) before they

Let me be honest.  I live in Houston but this is the only TX site and
besides my cousin lives in Austin.  Sorry to see the Horns lose to LSU.
Anyways we have some summer squash growing currently in an immature state as
the flowers haven't appeared.  Anyways, I recently identified ...

for two winters now, that I had forgotten about.

Another Horse Manure Question28 Mar 2006 15:44 GMT3
We moved to this farm last autumn and as there is very little soil
coverage on the rocks here we are building raised beds.  At the back
of the stables is an area where the stable sweepings have been put for
years.  It is a large mound which must be about four feet deep in the
Alocasia odora/Colocasia esculenta28 Mar 2006 15:20 GMT2
Just received a crate load of these things. I assume they won't overwinter
very well?
If I planted these in those container thingies that are used in ponds and
then planted would they flourish.
Wild Cherry Tree28 Mar 2006 13:23 GMT3
We have a wild cherry tree that is bleeding sap. Up and down the tree
trunk sap is leaking out and puddling at the base of the trunk. Would
anyone have any thoughts or ideas of what we could do for the tree?

Hardly dare ask another question about shredders . . . but here goes:
I want to produce chips to make paths with, compost-making is

Go to Sleep, Phalaenopsis Phil28 Mar 2006 05:46 GMT4
I've got this one phal...thing will just NOT stop flowering.  This
might sound like a good thing, but the spikes don't have much 'Umph'
once the flowers pop.  Flowers are usually small and not in too much
quantity.

Concord grapes, fungus problems27 Mar 2006 23:40 GMT3
I have a Concord grape vine, it produced a ton of grapes for one
season four or five years ago and nothing since, the grapes just shrivel
up and die. I tried spraying with a fungicide a couple of years ago (I
just sprayed it once in the spring) but that didn't help. Any
Asparagus Beds?27 Mar 2006 23:35 GMT2
Since the plants are said to be very deep, should these beds ever be
turned? If so what depth is considered safe? Last year I noticed that
some of the wood mulch I had applied earlier had compacted into a
rather hard "particle board" like layer, so I made some attempt to
