Care of hellebore seedlings07 Mar 2006 21:08 GMT1
I've searched the web on this and found various recommendations, but not
real clarity on what is to be done and when.
I have a nice Helleborus foetidissimus plant by the doorstep. Mindful of how
poorly hellebore seeds handle (and not having time to fuss over them), last
Seedlings' leaves have brown edges07 Mar 2006 20:26 GMT10
The leaves on some of my seedlings have developed a brown edge. I
suspect that I may have used a fertilizer, either to strong or to
early. The all have there second set of true leaves, though barely
noticible. I used Vigoro Root Stimulator, full strength (2 capfuls per
Rate of Ceanothus "Concha" growth ?07 Mar 2006 17:00 GMT2
Hi. I've seen these young Ceanothus shrubs in "M & S" and have always
wanted one for the garden. The plants on sale are about 6 inches in
height. I was wondering how much would it grow and spread over the
coming growing season. I have limited free space in my garden. Although
Lemon Tree Question07 Mar 2006 15:59 GMT4
I started a leomn tree from a seed in a small pot. It is now about 10
inches tall. The leaves, however, are brown around the edges. Is this a
sign of too much watering, too little, or something entirely different?
What should I feed the little tree and when should I move it ...

Partial screening shrub/tree07 Mar 2006 11:34 GMT9
I have a question which I am sure has been asked many times before
about screening plants (for Melbourne).  I have a picket fence approx.
4ft (1.2m) high and 15ft (4.5m) in length which I would like to plant
in front of.  I am not looking for a complete privacy screening hedge
Rooting aloe vera plants07 Mar 2006 11:05 GMT6
While there is some information about this on the internet, a
search through the garden groups here...
"aloe vera" rooting group:*.garden.*
turned up nothing. Alot turns up on a web search, though.
Anyone any good with Paths?07 Mar 2006 10:43 GMT11
I' going to construct a couple of brick paths in my garden. I was going
to buy propper paviors, but a friend has offered me a full palate of
normal house bricks, do you think they will be ok as a path or will
they just crumble
Flies around my indoor plantings, suggestions?07 Mar 2006 07:23 GMT2
I have some kind of small flies all around my plants that I started
indoors for an early garden.  I would like to do something about them
but hate to treat the plant with an insecticide - BUT I WILL.  The
problem is that bad.
Hi Guys!!07 Mar 2006 02:04 GMT5
I am new to here, and so excited to meet you all!!  I have been growing
roses for about 5 years - more seriously now that I have bought my
first house and have plenty of room to grow more roses than ever
before!  I currently have about 30 roses, and am putting many, many

Family Contest07 Mar 2006 01:26 GMT20
My two uncles and I are having a gardening contest and they are saying
they can beat me just because they are older than me and have more
experience (I'm very young). Even though that may be true, I think I
can win because I have the help of the Internet on my side. They garden
Stupid sunflower question07 Mar 2006 00:17 GMT12
I'm sure you master gardeners will laugh at me, but how does one grow a
sunflower to be 6 feet tall?  I've tried growing sunflowers from seed for
the past two years, starting them in pots and transplanting the seedlings to
containers outside when it gets warm enough, but the ...
Spring's Here!07 Mar 2006 00:05 GMT3
Out here in the wilds of Washington State, Spring ususally arrives sometime
late in February, but this year it happened today - March 1st. Most years
there's one day in Feb. that just feels like the back of Winter has been
broken.
