| SIPs panels and off-gassing | 25 Feb 2010 10:19 GMT | 12 |
Hi -- I'm looking at SIPs walls and roof panels made by Eco Panels, and am wondering about off-gassing issues related to these products. Eco Panels claims there is no off-gassing with their products, which I would like to believe, but I'm skeptical.

| Best wood floors in dry climate? | 19 Feb 2010 20:07 GMT | 20 |
I live in Colorado, and a few years ago had a bamboo floor installed in my kitchen and living room, and have been very disappointed. Despite the whole-house humidifier attached to the forced air heating system, the "planks" (is that the right word?) contract in the winter,

| modular underground house | 15 Feb 2010 22:55 GMT | 2 |
I've found an underground house design that really works for me. It uses modular 24 foot square or 28 foot square domed rooms. The designer can use as many rooms as desired and these rooms are divided up with partitions where necessary. The walls and domed roof is

This stone facade is coming to pieces on a well loved council building. Either the council doesn't know how to fix it or if they do, they don't want to spend the money. One local I talked to said the water gets in behind the facade stone and if

Hello, this should be an easy question for you electricians out there (I'm hoping). I have 2 hard-wired baseboard heaters in my basement. They appear to be early-80s vintage. One is longer, about 6 feet I would say, and the

| One Piece Door Sill With Upturned Edges? | 08 Feb 2010 15:38 GMT | 3 |
I've installed a few prehung exterior doors over the last few years, trying to flash and caulk the doors as best as possible. Unfortunately, none of these doors have roof overhangs to protect them from the weather, and storm doors on the outside are not an option.
