90 amps for electric car charge!28 Feb 2010 18:31 GMT86
Is your garage electric car ready?
Seems these cars can be charged with a regular 15 amp outlet, any 240 volt
outlet (50 amps best), or a 90 amp "4 hour charge" connection...

SIPs panels and off-gassing25 Feb 2010 10:19 GMT12
Hi -- I'm looking at SIPs walls and roof panels made by Eco Panels,
and am wondering about off-gassing issues related to these products.
Eco Panels claims there is no off-gassing with their products, which I
would like to believe, but I'm skeptical.

Best wood floors in dry climate?19 Feb 2010 20:07 GMT20
I live in Colorado, and a few years ago had a bamboo floor installed
in my kitchen and living room, and have been very disappointed.
Despite the whole-house humidifier attached to the forced air heating
system, the "planks" (is that the right word?) contract in the winter,
modular underground house15 Feb 2010 22:55 GMT2
I've found an underground house design that really works for me.  It
uses modular 24 foot square or 28 foot square domed rooms.  The
designer can use as many rooms as desired and these rooms are divided
up with partitions where necessary.  The walls and domed roof is
Black pipes: What is the material?13 Feb 2010 03:48 GMT3
I managed to clog up our kitchen drain. Using the saw dust like  Zep
brand stuff several times did not help.
I could not get a snake reach the clogged point.
I am thinking of using something like Drano. The pipes under the sink

Stone facade being split off from the wall12 Feb 2010 00:35 GMT8
This stone facade is coming to pieces on a well loved council building.
Either the council doesn't know how to fix it or if they do, they don't want
to spend the money.
One local I talked to said the water gets in behind the facade stone and if
Timer switch for baseboard heater--120 or 220 v???11 Feb 2010 13:24 GMT3
Hello, this should be an easy question for you electricians out there
(I'm hoping).
I have 2 hard-wired baseboard heaters in my basement. They appear to
be early-80s vintage. One is longer, about 6 feet I would say, and the
One Piece Door Sill With Upturned Edges?08 Feb 2010 15:38 GMT3
I've installed a few prehung exterior doors over the last few years, trying
to flash and caulk the doors as best as possible. Unfortunately, none of
these doors have roof overhangs to protect them from the weather, and storm
doors on the outside are not an option.

Hello Contractors,
With employment in the construction industry taking one of the hardest
hits during recent economic downturn and with consumer confidence,
tight credit, and falling home prices many have been discouraged from
How to reinforce drilled floor joists04 Feb 2010 05:29 GMT7

Global Warming and what you can do to against it03 Feb 2010 00:04 GMT6
As you know global warming is endangering the future of life on the
planet. It will also affect us;
rising sea levels, dwindling water supplies, mass deaths due to heat
waves, stoppage of the gulfstream, which
