Can anybody tell me the difference between TGI and TJI joists. (or is it
just brand names) and has there been fire tests on TGI or TJI joists.

Should the builder install insulation before the electrician starts doing
the wiring or after the wiring is installed?

Everything I have read about insulating the floors above a crawl space
make a point of saying that the insulation should be placed directly
against the floor with no air gaps.  Why do they insist on the "no air
space"?   Not knowing anything about insulation, it seems that an air

We plan on building a home in the Midwest ( Iowa ). What is the percentage
rate for the final building cost a contractor might charge? Is this safe? Rr

i live in a mobile home that has an electric furnace...it works

I am going to build an addition with most likely full basement
foundation made from cinder blocks. What's the best way to waterproof
the foundation. My home basement foundation is also built from cinder
