Enclose space under deck01 Jun 2004 00:33 GMT2
We've added a 10X12 deck on the back of our house. We put down a
concrete slab and built the deck over the slab so that we could enclose
the space under the deck and use it for storage.
My question has to do with the wall that will be next to the house.
Wiremold Raceway: Elbows don't fit01 Jun 2004 00:27 GMT2
I bought some of the Wiremold On-Wall wiring raceway parts.  The B6
Flat Elbow package says that the elbow "base" slides UNDER the raceway

Sweating toilet31 May 2004 22:34 GMT2
Over the winter I installed a new laminate floor in the bathroom of our
new cottage.  First warm humid days this season have made me realize
that the toilet sweats a lot especially when we have company and there
are lots of flushes.  We get H2O from a well so the water is cold.  ...

We just finished installing some cheap parquet flooring and I thought it
would help if we put a few coats of polyurethene over it. Could someone
recommend exactly what kind? If not polyurethene, then what? I like the
finish that's one it, but I thought another coat would fill in the ...

Has anybody got any experience of black PVC windows. Where I'm at in
Ireland PVC is the cheapest window option. I think I need black
windows for the house I'm building and would like to consider PVC

Foam Crown Molding31 May 2004 01:38 GMT1
On "This Old House" they were using a foam crown molding. This was a solid
triangular piece instead of the traditional "flat" piece with the ceiling
and wall mating sides cut at an angle. They liked it because of the ease of
installation. It was installed with drywall mud painted on ...
Chain Ladder, How Make?31 May 2004 00:31 GMT11
Has anybody made a chain ladder? I'm considering 3/16" proof for the
long sides. I want something stiff for the rungs, so what should I use
for those? Also, each rung should have stand-offs. Any suggestions for
those?
