We've added a 10X12 deck on the back of our house. We put down a concrete slab and built the deck over the slab so that we could enclose the space under the deck and use it for storage. My question has to do with the wall that will be next to the house.

Has anybody made a chain ladder? I'm considering 3/16" proof for the long sides. I want something stiff for the rungs, so what should I use for those? Also, each rung should have stand-offs. Any suggestions for those?

concerned about the wieght of my fish tank on the floorboards, the tank weighs 700 kilos when filled and is spread over 5 joists it is against a supporting wall which has a concrete lintel under it (theres a shop below)does anyone think this is to heavy?
