Which laser level to buy?31 Jul 2003 15:30 GMT4
I'm in the market for a rotating laser level. I've used a Robo-Laser
that had a remote control for rotating it in either direction (doesn't
spin by itself). That was a few years ago. When I went shopping
recently I saw that they sell not only that version but others that
Garage Heater31 Jul 2003 14:38 GMT6

suggestion on what to use for heating it?  I plan on using propane since we
have it for the house heat.

Digital Cellular engineer for 17 years and was just recently layed off.
Concrete Slab31 Jul 2003 03:59 GMT3
I'm going to be having a lot of concrete work done in the next few weeks.  I
am going to try to pour a 14x14 patio myself and then I am going to hire out

rather large (38x38) pad in front of the garage with 2 ...

Okay, sorry for the weird question:
Unfinished basement (12x12) w/ slab floor.   Wanted good surface for working
on  and in case of pipe break didn't have to worry too much about.  Bought
these 3x3 heavy duty rubber mats (like something you'd see in a restaurant

You have a product idea; we'll produce a visual prototype. You have a
product; we design your packaging. You have a theory; we produce the
animation. Still designs or moving pictures, we provide you with the
visualization to get your point across, with impact.
Radiant floor heat30 Jul 2003 01:44 GMT6
Looking for pros and cons of radiant floor heat. I'm in mid Michigan and
planning on putting it in with a wood boiler and water heater backup. No
codes just common sense. I'm on a farm and don't require an inspection.
Thanks
From old blue prints to CAD files29 Jul 2003 23:49 GMT4
My parents own a brick house that is over 70 years old.  What I would like
to do is to get the
Blue prints from the local building department (about $40), and then convert
these to CAD
Ceramic tile grout29 Jul 2003 19:04 GMT5
I love ceramic floor tile but hate the problem of  cleaning the grout.
I have noticed the grout used   with the tiles in shopping malls seems
to be smooth,  almost like a tar appearance.  The grout is always  a
dark color.  Am I seeing things, or is this a very fine textured grout.
Remodel span length question29 Jul 2003 04:46 GMT2
I am considering remodelling an old outdoor pavillion type building.
Building is approximately 32' by 32'. Main roof structure (warm climate) is
supported by 4 5x12x32' fir beams supported by 8'diameter concrete corner
posts and 2x6's every 8'. Two questions: (1) I assume the 2x6's ...
Architect or ...?28 Jul 2003 19:53 GMT3
I am considering an addition on my house. A friend rightly pointed out
that as he was looking to purchase a house he saw cases where
additions were adding value and then some additions were just well,
additions. It wasnt that the quality of the workmanship brought the
Q for designers/Architects28 Jul 2003 07:20 GMT8
I run a design build firm. I have a client who I have been designing an
addition for who cannot wait until I have a free spot in my schedule to
build the project. They will hire another contractor who says he wants to
use his own architect. (there will be changes to the plan I drew ...

if its from the wood, the siding or the plastic ...
