I must have accidentally washed some jeans that had gum in its pockets,
as I found a sticky gum-like substance smeared all over the inside of
my dryer.  What would the best product be to remove the sticky gum
residue?  Help!  Thanks in advance for answers!  Cindy :)

Carpet/Vent Mildew30 Mar 2006 00:09 GMT2
I recently had a leak in my apartment that covered a small area of carpeting
with water. After trying to clean it, the manager replaced the carpeting and
padding and sprayed some anti mildw stuff on the walls and baseboard. I
still smell some musty, mildwy odors. I can't tell if ...

Anyone notice that Vox Humana hasn't posted in a long time?
There were a few topics I would've expected he chime in on,
like the steamer. I hope he is alright...if he is a he.

Wooden Floor,25 Mar 2006 13:19 GMT8
Does anyone know how good a wooden floor would be in my lounge?
I have got six small to7y dogs and thought it would be better than the
carpet I have at present.
Are they easy to maintain?  And would they show scratches?
Worst Household Chores ?23 Mar 2006 17:48 GMT8
Hi folks, just wondered what the general opinion was on the worst
household chore. Got to be a two horse race between cleaning the inside
of the windows and cleaning the oven.
We are considering taking on an Oven Cleaning franchise but are curious

clorox anywhere spray18 Mar 2006 08:43 GMT51
This seems wonderful, but I was wondering if anyone knew what it is
made up of, and if there is anything else that can be sprayed to
almost anything to sanitize. I have a new crawler and a 1st grader, so
I would need gallons of this stuff. I know if I buy a bottle, I'll be

Dear Group,
I have a glossy almost photo type poster of two characters in a famous film
that I wished to put on my wall. It was rolled and inserted into it's

Cast Iron Skillets15 Mar 2006 23:18 GMT5
Just what is the proper way of cleaning a cast iron skillet? I've heard to
merely wipe it clean and allow the oil build-up but then, I've also hear to
clean it in light soapy water, rinse, whip, and set it on a hot burner just
long enough to evaporate all the moisture that may be ...
A safe anti-bacterial for countertops?14 Mar 2006 22:53 GMT4
Hello, I grew up in a house that was always cleaned by soap and water.
When there was raw meat, my parents always took great care in cleaning
the countertops. That was so long ago, I don't know if they even used
any kind of anti-bacterial to clean the countertops after handeling raw
Poster problem14 Mar 2006 21:19 GMT1
The newest Real Simple magazine has an article
about just that problem: framing a poster that's
been rolled up for decades. That might help. The
issue just came out. It's the one with the yellow
