cleaning kitchen cabinet doors28 Dec 2005 03:42 GMT4
I want to clean all my kitchen cabinet doors before christmas but
wondering what product would work the best.
The wood is the fake dark junk -we live in a rental- I tried using
pine-sol but since it's been a while that they have been clean pine-sol

Vacuum or shake throw rugs and mats?24 Dec 2005 17:30 GMT3
The title asks it all.
The small rugs are no big problem, but we've gone thru a number of the
longer rubber backed mats (garage entrance, for wet shoes and boots) that
have seemed to shred along an edge.  I believe its from the whipping action.
poopie towels23 Dec 2005 21:34 GMT14
My toilet overflowed and my first reaction was to grab a towel
and throw it on the floor to soak up the water. Would it be safe
to wash and bleach this towel (maybe several times) and then use
it as an actual towel again, or should I just give up on it and

Alcohol23 Dec 2005 06:05 GMT9
No, not the drinking kind.  :)
The rubbing kind.  I put it in a spray bottle and use it to clean
nearly everything.  It cuts grease like nothing you've ever tried and
is a whiz at cleaning glass.  Also disinfects into the bargain.  Buy
Steam Mop or Steam Floor Cleaner Help23 Dec 2005 03:57 GMT7
After all these years, I'm ready to throw out the old mop and bucket!
I'm a procrastinator in regard to floor cleaning because I really hate
to deal with the wringing and I'm just not gonna do it another day!
(WAHOOO how good did that feel to say that!?  VERY good!  ha)  I don't
Video on folding shirts - Repost needed19 Dec 2005 01:18 GMT5
A couple years ago, on this site was a link to a URL that showed an
Asian woman laying a shirt flat, grabbing it in two spots and pulling.
The result was a perfectly folded shirt in an instant.
Could someone post this URL again?
Of Some Concern To Our Group09 Dec 2005 21:57 GMT16
How do others in our group feel about our posts being stolen and used in
online forums? I must say I was quite annoyed to see it, I assumed my post
would only come here or to the archives, some sites seem to copyright the
posts - not on I say. On my search for signs of our ...
Preventing throw rug slippage08 Dec 2005 20:11 GMT1
I have a vinyl kitchen floor, and have cotton throw rugs in front of the
sink and stove.
Is there a way to prevent them from slipping? I know I could use spray
adhesive, but I wash them frequently and am afraid they will stick
Removing stains07 Dec 2005 11:33 GMT20
I have some stains in cotton shirts.
I usually soak them in washing powder, but this time it hasn't worked. I
can't remember what the stains are from.
Does it matter if I use bio or non-bio, or is there some other method that I
washer/dryer grease05 Dec 2005 10:44 GMT1
My clothes are getting a strange streak of grease, mostly on the outer
edges. Has this happened to anyone else? I don't know if it is the washer,
Maytag 7-8 yrs. old or the dryer, gas GE about the same age.
White nylon lace panties getting greyer! Hints please04 Dec 2005 00:40 GMT38
I've been looking through this group for hints, but have found none :-(
I have several pairs of lace panties made from nylon, and they are gradually
going a very pale grey.  I only wash them with other while things, on a 40º
wash, using biological washing powder.
Dishwasher recommendations?02 Dec 2005 17:38 GMT9
I am looking for a lower-end dishwasher (don't want to spend much more than
$300 if I can get away with it), and would like to see if anyone has any
recommendations?  I don't need any fancy cycles--the light, normal, heavy
will do just fine.  Noise isn't too much of an issue.  ...
