Cleaning of Wood Floors31 Aug 2005 17:32 GMT13
I just returned from 7 weeks in Asia and really liked the wood floors in
my hotels. My wife and I are considering ripping out the carpet and tile
in our 3000 square foot home and putting in wood floors. We liked the
look and feel of wood floors.

hair smell on leather21 Aug 2005 08:36 GMT3
The leather recliner has picked up that stale hair smell from sleepyheads
napping in it.  I can hardly stand to sit in it now.  Anybody have any ideas
as to how to get rid of the smell?  The recliner isn't dirty where heads
have rested ... just stinky.

What is the right solvent to use?  Water and isopropyl don't work. TIA

that the finish has changed color.  Any suggestions what I could use?

time, does it damage plastics?

Plum sauce in the carpet01 Aug 2005 23:22 GMT4
I've got plum sauce (from a Chinese crispy duck!), in the carpet.  I've
tried all sorts to get it out, but it never quite lifts.  Anybody recommend
something either organic (biocarb, lemon, vinegar) or inorganic (acetylene
torch!).
