Magnetic sponge for windows?28 Oct 2004 22:49 GMT4
Some time ago (like maybe a couple of years) I read an article in the
Chicago Tribune that mentioned a product that was basically two sponges with
magnets in them.  The idea was that you could put cleaning liquid on the
sponges, put one the outside of your window and the other on ...
orange stain, white skirt23 Oct 2004 18:00 GMT3
I got an orange stain on a 98% cotton, 2% spandex white skirt.  I think it
might be mango, but really don't know.
I've used Shout, lye soap, Oxi-Clean, bleach on a q-tip, and pouring boiling
water from a height all to no avail.  I'd appreciate any help you might
carpet cleaning disaster18 Oct 2004 08:31 GMT1
A few days ago I rent a Rug Doctor to clean my cream colored Berber carpet.
I previously had no problem with my Bissell home machine. Now I have
splotches of dark yellow stains on some areas. My gut feeling is that it may
be discoloration from subjacent plywood. Is there anything I ...

Hi everyone!  I'm pregnant with my 2nd child & I have all the usual aches & pains associated with it.  Of course, after a day of housecleaning, cooking, running errands, & chasing a toddler around, I am too sore to move.  Does anyone have any tips or shortcuts on how to get my ...

I have an area of space of about an inch wide which is at the end of my
counter top which meets the wall. I want to plug it with a foam sealer

REFRIGERATOR11 Oct 2004 14:53 GMT4
I am going to store my former fridge in my enclosed garage.  I will have
it turned off & unplugged with the door closed since it will not be
used. I plan in the long run to get rid of it since it is 20 yeas old
but still runs. I was just getting tired of the white color & went to
Cleaning/maintaining wood table08 Oct 2004 23:25 GMT1
I "inherited" a 25 year old wood dining table but not sure how to clean/maintain it.
I'm not sure of how the table was finished but the wood is not "shiney" and I
can feel the grain.
I'd appreciate any assistance.

How to get the stench out of fabric?08 Oct 2004 17:45 GMT1
My husband has a walkman that you wear around your arm, and the armband has
been soaked with sweat enough times to really reek.  We've tried soaking it
in some Tide, but that hasn't helped get rid of the stench.  Any
suggestions?
Clorox cleanup07 Oct 2004 14:47 GMT2
I was cleaning up a cupboard and discovered that a bottle
of Clorox bleach leaked and some of it soaked into the
painted wallboard and has dried.  I'm afraid if I just clean
it up with water there will still be some bleach left
Removing stains on acrylic sweater04 Oct 2004 09:01 GMT2
I just received a nice, white 100% acrylic sweater but it has a couple of
stains of unknown origin on it.  (One looks like it might have been a
coffee-type stain.)  I also don't know whether the sweater was already
washed & dried.  I'm afraid of discoloring the sweater or setting in ...
