I may be able to get it off? So far I've tried comet ...
candle wax on hardwood floor30 Jan 2004 23:48 GMT3
Candle wax on a hard wood floor. What's the best way to safely remove
wax without damaging the hard wood finish? I dare NOT use a razor
blade. Don't want to run risk of gouging the floor. I thought about
laying an old cloth over the wax then set a pot of boiling water on top

cleaning linoleum countertops29 Jan 2004 14:11 GMT5
Usually I use the same rag I just washed the dishes with after I rang all
the dish soap out of it, but it seems there is probably a better way. They
look and feel clean after I'm done but I would like to hear how some other
people do it. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Coffee Cup Staining27 Jan 2004 14:34 GMT7
The ol' dishwasher is lapsing in it's duties. Stains, coffee and tea,
are holding firm inside the nice white mugs and cups. I thought it was
because I switched over to those tablets but this didn't hold out
because I purchased some liquid and the stains are still there.
Rust23 Jan 2004 02:42 GMT16
While in the process of dying, our water heater caused rusty looking sheets and
tshirts.  Is there anyway of getting the rust out?  I've tried bleach and it
doesn't work.  Thanks.

glass top table21 Jan 2004 21:30 GMT8
I finally got the dining room table I have wanted for years and I hate it.
It has a 6' round glass top and it is always smudged.  To make matters
worse, the chairs are on casters so we end up grabbing the edges of the
table to pull ourselves to the table so it is also smudged under ...
How to get a newsprint stain off a wood table18 Jan 2004 05:30 GMT4
I have a light pine table. My daughter was painting and put newspaper down
to cover the table. When we took the newspaper back up we found a patch
about 1"x1" where the newsprint had transferred onto the table. I have never
seen this before and do not know how to get it off. The ...

Spots on T's after washing15 Jan 2004 13:27 GMT6
was wondering if you have any ideas how to stop small spots that appear on
t-shirts after I wash them. I've tried changing laundry detergent, as well
as filling the tub up halfway before I put my shirts in, but each time,
there's one or two t-shirts that have a series of small ...

Self-cleaning oven smell12 Jan 2004 20:31 GMT6
We just moved into a new apartment that has a stove with a self-cleaning
oven.   When we use the cleaning cycle, the smell is terrible.  It fills the
whole apartment even with the kitchen windows open and the exhaust fan on
high.  I've never had one before.   Is this normal?
Sink stain12 Jan 2004 19:23 GMT2
How do I get rid of a blueish stain that has occurred due to an occasional
dripping tap. We are in a hard water area within the UK.
Thanks
