Window Cleaning solutions.31 Jul 2003 00:40 GMT4
I've tried the homemade kind, they all call for a small amount of dishwashing
detergent. I think that this causes the film that's left on the glass. Does
anyone have a NON-STREAKING recipe?
Or better yet, could the *blue stuff* that you put in your windshield pisser
Cut glass30 Jul 2003 16:32 GMT2
Hi there, I don't know if I'm in the right ng, but I have a question.
I have a glass chess set someone gave me.  When I opened it and brushed it
off, I found there were miniscule glass splinters in the dust.  I rinsed it
in the bath tub, wiped it with a wet cloth, and rinsed the ...

Re: Laundry Aficionados!28 Jul 2003 13:51 GMT1
I buy all white, all cotton bath, hand and wash cloths.
Laundry always is washed in hot water, Tide HE, Borax and bleach.    My towels
and hand towels always are great .....but the wash cloths turn gray.   I don't
know what else to try to make them white again.      And always ...
whites28 Jul 2003 03:33 GMT7
Whenever I wash my whites they almost never come out white.  They almost
always come out off-white and have a discoloration to them where the dirt
was before they were washed.  I've tried bleach in different quantities, but
my whites end up falling apart and tearing easily after a ...
Ruined vinyl bathroom floor with bleach25 Jul 2003 18:52 GMT6
In the past I have cleaned the vinyl floor in our bathroom around the base of
the toilet using damp paper towels and bleach.  This past time, after removing
the paper towels, the entire area was yellow (the floor is pale blue).  My
husband thinks the bleach ate through the top layer ...

I know there are clean houses out there with kids but how do they do it.
I have a four year old and a six month old baby, and I just can't find
enough time to get every thing done and spend time with the kiddos. It seems

Removing annoying lint from black slacks22 Jul 2003 21:03 GMT3
OK, I know there's going to be some wonderfully nurturing mom out
there who can answer this for me, as it's driving me slightly loony.
Have a pair of black slacks, 100%, every time I wash them they come
out with lint - all over, difficult to remove.  How do I get it off
Help - how to clean a 'nook'20 Jul 2003 04:17 GMT1
In my kitchen, there are some long, thin spaces that are difficult for me to
clean.  One is between the refrigerator and a cabinet - it's about a two
inches wide, which made it hard for me to mop, but my broom can fit in and
that does a decent job.

It's been in the house and completely dry for a couple of months, and I
still can't put anything in it that will absorb the odors (like ...

In May I posted a question about removing stains from a hardwood floor and
am pleased to be able to say that the suggestions I recieved from Brenda,
Gary, and Lloyd were put to use with great success.  The stains were removed
with wood bleach (the two-part kit), and oxalic acid.  ...
