Has anyone had any experience of a company by the name of Kybotech?  They
sell garden sheds and so on.

Thanks.  You've confirmed my views.  We ordered, were sent an email telling
us delivery was delayed and would be by 21 May and then heard no more.  When
I checked the business's credit card statement, the money has been taken,
the goods are still 'not available' according to an email from them today
and now I have to send another email to a different department to cancel the
order and ask for our money back.   I leave others to draw their own
conclusions.

You can ask your credit card company for refund. You don't have to ask the one
who took your money fraudulently.

Quite, the CC companies take a dim view of charges to cards before
dispatch of goods, they are jointly liable as well. The CC company will
credit back your account then go chasing the merchant. The more complaints
they get about a company the more chance there is of that companies
merchant account being closed.

Nonetheless, we have done so because they have sent us an address to which
to apply.  We want to see what happens now.

They'll give you a run around until they go bust :o)

I'd ask the credit card company for a full refund, now.

Us too :o)

It's a pity that BBC's Watchdog is not on TV again until autumn.
It's still worth e-mailing them.

We will, if we don't get a satisfactory response from Kybotech but it's fair
to give them the chance.  What annoys us very much is that they took the
money from the card on the day they emailed to tell us that due to high
demand, they wouldn't be able to deliver for anything between 1 and 6 days.
6 days would have been 21 May.  Having heard absolutely nothing when I
emailed them to enquire, I was told they didn't know when the shed we want
would be available, so I ask why they'd taken our money and told them to
cancel the order and refund the money.  I got a "sorry to hear you're
cancelling" msg. that also told me I had to email a different dept. to get a
refund owing to 'security reasons'.  Watch this space!

Copying Watchdog on every e-mail you send Kybotech might have the desired effect
if Kybotech aren;t already regularly featured on Watchdog.

The only sign of optimism comes from Kybotech support

I've kept copies of the emails I've sent them.

I've just looked at this url.  It shows an amazing lack of efficiency and
customer support from Kybotech, stretching back some years.
