Various threads here about scrap wood. trees, etc from the gulf disaster.
I'm starting to hear rumors (that's all, pure rumors) about cheap mulch
that is/will be showing up. In the southeast, termites, fire ants, etc are
a way of life.
Rumor is a lot of this econo stuff has a high probability of having
termites within. Anyone have any info to squash or support this rumor?

Don't know about termites, but be extremely careful about buying a used car
nowadays.
Easy ways of getting around flood salvage titles and there are rumors (ah
yes, the "r" word) of large qtys of cars from the flooded areas being
cleaned up and sent round the country for sale on used car lots. They're
easy to identify, they come with a trunk full of mulch....
