Or you can look up the zoning code for yourself online:
http://68.15.49.6/westorange_nj/lpext.dll?f=templates&fn=site_main-j.htm&2.0

It's under Chapter XXV, and it has this to say about R-6:
R-6 District    One-family dwellings on 6,000 square foot lots

It would be wisest to check with the zoning officer about your specific
property:
http://www.google.com/local?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=zoning&near=West+Orange,+NJ+070
52&sa=X&oi=locald&radius=0.0&latlng=40785926,-74256765,12872053690115759914

You're welcome.  NJ is really good about putting all of their stuff
online.  Some states it's like they're playing cat and mouse with
public information.

R-6 is a great residential zoning where your locals will permit you to build
quite a bit.
Take advantage of it.
