I'm converting part of my garage into a B+B rental suite, mainly summer
use. I'm trying to decide on flooring over the concrete slab,
especially in the bathroom. We are in the Pacific NW, pretty mild
weather, but damp.
1 Furring strips, styro insulation between, plywood, commercial tiles?
Not cheap, but the bathroom is not a large area.
2 Ceramic tiles on concrete? Pretty cold.
3 Floating flooring on either plywood or directly on the concrete? Is
it waterproof enough for a bathroom, I doubt it. In the living/bedroom
area, i"m thinking of laying floating floor on the concrete with a
thick underlay.
Does anyone have a suggestion?

getcha some tile brutha-man

tile is cold if the room is cold

you'd be suprised at how much radiant heat ceramic will maintain...

and, you have a perfect subfloor for tile
