I got this from another ng.

The mayor of New Orleans just called out for help!  Take any boat you
have esp flat bottom boats to New Orleans now and use FRS and CB radios
to communicate.  THERE IS NO CELL PHONE POWER!  Do not rely on your
cell phones.   Take all the gasoline, food and water you can.   There
is a Sam Club in New Orleans where everyone is meeting with their
boats, although that is not required.  Remember that the water is
rising and many are trapped in their homes in the attacks and are
unable to cut a hole in the roof to stand on it , so they will die if
the water rises high enough.  There is no electricity whatsoever, so
latens, stoves and batteries are all youll be able to use.

HURRY!

Note: maybe battery operated reciprocating saws????

Err pal...it wasnt an attack...it was a hurricane.    The
Mayor was on the tube last night begging people to stay *out
because the roads are flooded and my going in with cars and
trailers etc you block the open roads or get your motor
flooded and block the  roads to emergency vehicles

So a person should look into this a bit before rushing off
with is bass boat to the Big Easy because of what some idiot
posted to the internet... call the red cross and FEMA to
confirm the actual need and what to do at least.

As far as boats to save lives are concerned... floatation
matressses etc also work to get out of the water and paddle to
a roof or high ground.   So do 4" slabs of stryofoam available
all building supplies by the ton.. cheap too.

Those are available from store stocks by the hundreds of
thousands now and can be air dropped...

He meant attics.

Martial law has been imposed.  You are not free to come and go as you
please.  They may well think you are there to loot.
