Are we talking wire wool scourers here or perhaps the scrubby sponge
scourers?
Whatever, I find with age it's increasingly difficult to get on my knees
these days, or should I say increasing difficult to get back up after I've
been on them. How about you Gregory, any problem there?

Depends on how long I'm "down" there, Mrs. B....

Oh, the wire ones.
I've used one twice now & it's ready for the scrap heap.
I might have to get one a different type. A scrubby spronge one won't rust, at
least.

I use steel wool (SOS pads) soap pads all the time. After I use one I
place it in a small Ziploc plastic sandwich bag and seal it. I can get a
lot of uses out of it that way. If it's left open to the air it will rust
quickly and be unusable.
